Returns Terms & Conditions
We have a 30-day return policy, meaning you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. All returns must be authorized by Purpose Built Moto before sending the item back. Items sent without prior approval will not be accepted. To request a return, please contact us at admin@purposebuiltmoto.com. Once approved, we will provide you with a return shipping label and instructions.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition as when you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need your receipt or proof of purchase. Any packaged goods must be returned with the packaging in its original condition, or your return may not be accepted (unless the item is faulty). Apparel items must be unworn and in new condition.

If you are exchanging your product, the best way to secure the new item is to place a new order for it while we process the return. Once we receive the returned item, we will process the refund or credit immediately.
Restocking Fee: Please note that exchanges or returns due to incorrect orders will incur a restocking fee.
Faulty Items & Warranty
All Purpose Built Moto products are covered by a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase. If your item is faulty and you would like a refund, repair, or replacement, please contact us first. Be sure to include photos or videos of the fault to help us assess the situation before a return is approved. If a fault is confirmed, we will send you a prepaid return shipping label to cover the cost of sending the item back.
In some cases, the manufacturer must approve the fault before issuing a refund or replacement. We will keep you informed throughout this process and aim to process your refund within 72 hours of receiving the item.
Damaged Items in Transit
If your order arrives damaged, please take photos of the damage before and after opening the package. Email these photos to us immediately to ensure the correct procedure is followed. If we sent you the wrong item, we will send you a shipping label to return the incorrect product and will cover shipping costs associated with sending the correct one.
Non-returnable Items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, including custom products (such as special orders or personalised items), perishable goods (such as food or plants), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns on hazardous materials, flammable liquids, gases, or gift cards.
Additionally, the following items are non-returnable for exchange or incorrect orders:
- DNA filters
- Kustomtech product
- HEL products
- Gauges
Condensation & Lighting Products
Condensation is a naturally occurring condition that can affect any light, undiffused polycarbonate lenses can be more noticeable than glass type lenses. It does not suggest a defect in the lighting product, as opposed to what happens when a leak occurs, in which case water has made its way into the light that could lead to a system failure.
Condensation doesn't cause a problem with normal operation of the headlight and isn't considered to be a defect.
LED lamps are designed to allow moisture to escape and not re-enter, by way of a breathable filter patch. It takes time for the moisture to evaporate (the amount of time will depend upon whether or not the light is turned on or not). This is also dependent on the climate in your local area.
- All lights are prone to condensate due to the following events:
- Air is trapped inside a lamp when manufactured
- Plastic parts used in lights naturally absorb moisture in the air
- As the light heats up these plastics parts release moisture that mixes with air
- Moisture attaches itself to the coolest part of the lamp, e.g. the lens
- Halogen lamps tend to run hot, so the moisture evaporates more quickly
- LED lights produce less heat, so moisture takes longer to evaporate, so it can be more noticeable.
UV Damage & Chemical Exposure
Please note that Purpose Built Moto is not liable for product faults associated with poor user handling or installation. Anodized products, such as headlights, indicators, and tail lights, may fade when exposed to prolonged sunlight. To minimise UV damage, please store your bike in shaded areas when possible.
When cleaning anodized aluminium surfaces, certain precautions must be taken:
- Avoid using aggressive alkaline or acid cleaners, as these can damage the finish.
- Do not clean hot or sun-heated surfaces, as chemical reactions may accelerate and cause uneven cleaning.
- Strong organic solvents may extract stain-producing chemicals from sealants, affecting their function.
- Excessive abrasive rubbing should be avoided to prevent damage to the finish.
Shipping Costs for Returns
For exchanges, you are responsible for return shipping costs and for the shipping of the new item back to you. If the item is faulty or we made a mistake with your order, we will cover all shipping costs associated with rectifying the issue.
Please note that our parcels are not insured. In case of loss during transit, we offer a 50% discount to repurchase the parts, and you will be responsible for shipping costs.
European Union 14-day Cooling-off Period
If you are a customer in the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days for any reason. Items must be in the same condition as when received, unworn or unused, with tags, and in their original packaging. You will also need proof of purchase.
Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you if the refund is approved. If approved, you will be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved and you haven't received your refund, please contact us at admin@purposebuiltmoto.com.
