RETURNS TERMS & CONDITIONS

If you receive any products or merchandise that you are unhappy with for any reason, simply return it to us within 30 days after you receive the item in the condition that you received it and we will happily exchange or refund.

All returns MUST be authorised by Purpose Built Moto before goods are returned. Please email us and we will work with you to find the best outcome for you.

In order to receive a product exchange or refund, please get in touch so we can approve the return. We then ask that you send the unwanted/faulty product back to us. Once we receive it, we will then refund or exchange as agreed with you.

If you want to exchange your product, the best way to secure the new item is if you place a new order now to re-purchase the correct item to get it on the way to you ASAP. Once we receive the returned item, we will then credit or refund that for you right away.

All items returned for refund or credit must be returned in the original condition (unless faulty). Any packaged goods must be returned with the packaging in its original condition or your return may not be accepted (unless faulty). All apparel items must be unworn and in new condition.

FAULTY ITEMS + WARRANTY
All our products are under warranty for 1 year after purchase date. If you have a faulty item that you would like refunded, repaired or replaced, please contact us before sending the item back. If emailing regarding a fault, please attach pictures/videos of the fault so the item can be assessed before a return is approved.

In cases where a faulty item was received, a pre-paid shipping label can be emailed to cover the return costs on the faulty item. Faulty items may be returned outside of the regular returns time frames providing the item is still under warranty.

We aim to have your refund processed within 72 hours of receiving; however some faults must be approved by the manufacturer before a refund or replacement can be issued. In this case we will keep you informed on a regular basis via email updates.

If your order arrives damaged in transit please take photos of the damage and email them to us before and after opening the packaging to ensure the correct procedure is followed when rectifying the situation.

Please note that we won’t be liable for any product faults associated with poor user handling or installation. Anodising can be prone to sun-fade in products like Headlights, Indicators and Tail lights if left in the sun. Please take care to shelter your bike when you can.

Certain precautions must be taken when cleaning anodised aluminium surfaces. Aluminium finishes must first be identified to select the appropriate cleaning method.

Aggressive alkaline or acid cleaners must never be used.
Cleaning hot, sun-heated surfaces should be avoided since possible chemical reactions will be highly accelerated and cleaning non-uniformity could occur.
Strong organic solvents, while not affecting anodised aluminium, may extract stain-producing chemicals from sealants and may affect the function of the sealants.
Strong cleaners should not be used on window glass and other components where it is possible for the cleaner to come in contact with the aluminium.
Excessive abrasive rubbing should not be used since it could damage the finish.
CONDENSATION

Condensation is a naturally occurring condition that can affect any light, undiffused polycarbonate lenses can be more noticeable than glass type lenses. It does not suggest a defect in the lighting product, as opposed to what happens when a leak occurs, in which case water has made its way into the light that could lead to a system failure.

Condensation doesn’t cause a problem with normal operation of the headlight and isn’t considered to be a defect.

LED lamps are designed to allow moisture to escape and not re-enter, by way of a breatable filter patch. It takes time for the moisture to evaporate (the amount of time will depend upon whether or not the light is turned on or not). This is also dependant on the climate in your local area.

All lights are prone to condensate due to the following events:

Air is trapped inside a lamp when manufactured
Plastic parts used in lights naturally absorb moisture in the air
As the light heats up these plastics parts release moisture that mixes with air
Moisture attaches itself to the coolest part of the lamp, e.g. the lens
Halogen lamps tend to run hot, so the moisture evaporates more quickly
LED lights produce less heat, so moisture takes longer to evaporate, so it can be more noticeable.
SHIPPING COSTS
If you are returning an item for exchange, please note that you will be responsible for any shipping costs involved in the return, as well as the shipping costs to send the new item back to you.

If you are returning a faulty item, we will cover the cost of sending you a replacement and send you a shipping label so you can send the faulty item back to us.

If we sent you the wrong item, we will send you a shipping label so you can post the wrong item back to us. Once we receive the item, we will post the correct item to you and cover shipping costs associated with that delivery.

Please note that our parcels are not insured. In the event of your parcel getting lost in transit, we will offer you a 50% off to repurchase your parts. You will have to cover the shipping cost.

Customers from the UK: please note that from January 2021 we won’t be responsible for VAT incurring costs and these will be your responsibility.
