2024 is coming to a close, and it’s been one hell of a ride for us here at Purpose Built Moto. It’s been a year of hard work, new milestones, and connecting with the motorcycle community we love so much. From some of our most ambitious bike builds yet to exciting shop updates, here’s a look back at the highlights from the past year.

Custom Bike Builds: Pushing What’s Possible

We love a challenge, and 2024 delivered plenty of opportunities to push our limits. Every bike we built this year has its own story, and we’re proud of how they turned out. Here’s a look at some of our standout projects:

Carbon Fiber Ducati 900SS
Lightweight, fast, and stylish. Combining carbon fiber with a classic Ducati design was no small feat, but the end result is a bike that’s as striking as it is functional.
Orange Wide Wheel Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Scrambler
Bold and built to explore, this scrambler is impossible to miss. Its wide wheels and vibrant orange finish make it ready for anything, on or off the road.
Shovelhead Air Ride
Old-school Harley muscle meets smooth, modern air-ride suspension. This build brought together classic design and new-school comfort.
XT500 Silver Red
A clean, retro-inspired rebuild that pays tribute to the iconic XT500. This bike keeps things simple and timeless, with a ride that feels as good as it looks.
Speedway Frame Build
A purpose-built track bike designed for speed and precision. This one’s all about performance with no frills, just function.

Events: Getting Out There

Hitting the road and meeting other riders is one of the best parts of what we do. This year, we showed up at some great events:

Choppageddon - Tom won awards for Best Japanese Build and Best Panhed
Ray Owen Classic - Good ride out good times
Connondale Classic - Put 2 XT500 Builds On Display for the weekend
Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride - Set up a custom bike display

Big Shop Updates

2024 brought some exciting changes to the Purpose Built Moto shop:

More Tools
We added a plasma cutter, which opens up a lot more possibilities for fabrication.
Growing Team
Cody joined us as a fabricator, and Tristan came on full-time to handle marketing. Both have been huge for what we’ve been able to do this year.
Social Media Milestones
Our Instagram hit 40,000 followers, and one of our reels cracked 2 million views.
Pre-Booked for 2025
Next year’s schedule is already looking packed, and we can’t wait to get started.

Working Together

This year, we were lucky to collaborate with some incredible brands and builders who share our passion for motorcycles. Each partnership brought something unique to the table and helped us create some unforgettable builds.

Motul
Motul came on board to sponsor our XT500 Silver Red build. Their support helped us give this iconic bike a new lease on life with a clean, classic finish.
Pirelli
Pirelli’s high-performance tires made all the difference on our Orange Wide Wheel Royal Enfield Scrambler. This build needed the right balance of grip and durability, and Pirelli delivered.
Royal Enfield x Wonderful Indonesia
We teamed up with Royal Enfield for an epic adventure. They flew Tom to Indonesia to explore the country and its amazing motorcycle culture.
DNA Filters
DNA Filters brought Tom to Greece for a behind-the-scenes tour of their factory. Not only did we get to see how their top-notch products are made, but Tom also had the chance to ride some incredible custom builds along the way.
SWS
SWS sponsored the Speedway Frame Build, helping us create a lightweight, track-ready machine that’s all about speed and precision.
Makita
With Makita’s sponsorship, we took the XT500 VMX build to new levels. Their tools helped us bring out the bike’s vintage motocross soul.

We also made some great connections with builders in the motorcycle community. A big shout-out to CRmotoco, Matt McVittie, Bryan Fuller, Mountains Motorcycle Wiring, Brickhouse Builds, and Milezero Racers. Their creativity and craftsmanship inspire us every day.
