Motorcycle builders know that dealing with broken gauges, speedometers, or dashboards can be quite the hassle. Whether you’re restoring a vintage ride or modifying a modern machine, finding the right replacement parts for your purposes is crucial. Here at Purpose Built Moto, we understand these challenges and want to share a reliable solution: Daytona gauges.

Standard OEM gauges can be tough to work with, especially for older bikes. They’re often hard to find, expensive, and can present compatibility issues with speedo cables and electrical parts. This makes fixing or modifying your motorcycle more complicated than it needs to be.

Now you can find some specialty providers that repair OEM gauges for vintage restorations, but you will have to do your own research on that. Most of the work we do here is custom work so we choose to replace and upgrade the gauges, if you're in the same boat, we're here to help.

Daytona, a renowned Japanese manufacturer, offers a range of gauges that simplify the process. Here’s why Daytona gauges are a great choice:

  • All-in-One Units: Daytona offers comprehensive units that combine speedometers, tachometers, and indicator lights. This means fewer parts to worry about and an easier installation process.
  • Separate Components: If you prefer individual components, Daytona has you covered with separate speedometers, tachometers, and indicator lights. This flexibility allows you to customize your setup according to your needs.
  • Ease of Installation: Daytona gauges are designed to be user-friendly. Whether you have an older bike or a newer model, these gauges are straightforward to wire up and install.
  • Reliability: Daytona is known for producing high-quality, durable gauges. Investing in their products ensures that you won’t be dealing with frequent replacements or malfunctions.

Daytona gauges come in various sizes to fit different motorcycle styles and setups:

  • 48mm Gauges: Ideal for minimalist setups where space is a premium. These smaller gauges can be easily mounted on the handlebars or the triple tree, making them perfect for custom builds with a clean look.
  • 60mm Gauges: A versatile size that offers a balance between visibility and compactness. Suitable for most standard and custom bikes, these gauges can be mounted on the dash or handlebar brackets.
  • 80mm Gauges: These larger gauges are great for cruisers and touring bikes where readability is essential. They provide a clear display and can be mounted on the dashboard or custom brackets for better visibility.

Daytona gauges are available with various features to suit your needs:

  • With Indicators: Some models include built-in indicator lights for turn signals, high beams, and neutral. This integration simplifies your setup by reducing the need for additional indicator lights.
  • Without Indicators: For those who prefer a cleaner look or already have separate indicator lights, models without built-in indicators are available.
  • Daytona Cube: A compact and modern option that offers a sleek, digital display. The Daytona Cube is perfect for high-tech builds and can be mounted almost anywhere due to its small size.
  • Daytona Deva: Another innovative option, the Daytona Deva provides advanced features and a unique design. It’s ideal for riders looking to add a touch of sophistication to their dashboards.

Hey Roger,

We don’t sell GPS speedos as I’ve found them to be somewhat unreliable.
There may be some good options out there but I cannot personally recommend any to you.

Tom

Do any of your speedo gages work off GPS rather than using a cable.
