Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2022 Wrap Up + Photo Gallery

We wrapped an awesome weekend for the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2022, a Motosocial event hosted in collaboration with the legends at Miami Marketta.

With the initial date for Gentlemans ride postponed due to bad weather, GC riders we’re treated to an epic day showcasing the best of the Gold Coast motorcycle community. As you could imagine, local riders were itching to get suited up and come for a fun day of bikes, food, live music and a ride in the famous Gold Coast sunshine.

We were stoked at the turn out, we had around 300 bikes turn up in their finest threads for a ride starting and ending at Miami Marketta, taking the slow roads down the beach, then around the picturesque Currumbin valley. As soon as we got to the starting point on Sunday we could tell it was going to be a fun day, after almost a month of rain the sun bought a good mood in everyone, plus, the cool winter temperatures kept us from sweating our asses off in suits before 10am – which is typical in our part of the world.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a global event hosted to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health. The usual promo blurb is that the DGR unites classic and vintage style motorcycle riders – however, we welcome riders of all kinds, vintage, modern, electric and we even had some scooters join the ride.

An event like this was only made possible by the local businesses that sponsored the fundraiser, so we have to give a big shout out to the true legends of the day, DriRider, SiDi, Bell Helmets, Quad Lock, Argon, Merlin, Shoei, MX Store, TCX, Australian Electric Motor Co, Akin Moto Cube Moto and of course PBM. We also have to thank Osher Günsberg for making an appearance to speak at the event, we were grateful he was able to take the time to come and support the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2022.

We couldn’t be more proud with the results of the day, with your support we were able to raise an incredible $58,000 for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health awareness. We have a big thank you to send to everyone who came to support the Distinguished Gentleman’s ride. It was pretty warming to see the flood of love on social media from everyone who enjoyed themselves, so we’re looking forward to the next Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.
